Sallie McIlheran's artwork shows a precision of line and detail as well as careful consideration of color.
Her recent works display an emphasis on motion, tonality and a thematic interest on transition and movement of light.Sallie made formal studies in Europe (1990-1994), obtaining her Masters of Fine Arts in 1994 at the University of Vienna, Austria. Here, she was able to study in the Master Class of Prof. Wolfgang Hutter, one of the leading members of the Austrian Movement of Fantastic Realism. She has exhibited in Germany, Austria and in the USA and her works are held in collections among others: Historisches Museum Stadt Freising; KulturFond Sparkasse; Giesecke and Devrient, Quebec Canada; GEMA Munich; as well as private collections in Europe and in the USA. Sallie lives in Freising, Germany and works in both Freising and Texas.
